The Braford Breed has been a passion and livelihood for the McNamara Family for four generations. Dating back to 1968, when Neil McNamara and sons Don and Winston, purchased their first Braford Bull to put over Poll Hereford cows. Impressed by the progeny that thrived in the Coolibah Ridges and adverse conditions of the Western Downs, it became clear the Braford cattle suited our country much more effectively.

Today, MCN Brafords is run by Mark and Tara, Tim and Amy and their families with Don & Majella. It consists of a purebred stud and commercial enterprise across four properties in the Bell/Jimbour district. With the fifth generation looking on, we continue to invest in the Braford breed and the longevity of the McNamara family with Braford cattle.

Strategic sire selection and rigorous culling ensures temperament, fertility, confirmation, bone and weight for age in our herd.
